Advantages of Songwriting In The 2nd Person Point Of View
Sep 04, 20212nd person point of view is the most intimate point of view with a distinct lack of “I”.
In other words, it’s the most intimate point of view that is completely unselfish. There is no “I” in the song as the subject of the song is simply “You”.
2nd person point of view is a lot like giving advice to your friend. You aren’t saying the word “I”, but just talking about “You”.
You’re helping out your friend, not talking about yourself.
That is 2nd person point of view.
